FAQ
What is Svim Finance? Svim Finance is a next-generation decentralized finance (DeFi) platform and protocol that bridges Web3 liquidity with high-quality real-world assets, providing stable yields for global investors. Our platform allows you to invest stablecoins like $USDC into solid Web2 real-world assets, offering stable yields and diversifying away from on-chain volatility.
Which blockchain does Svim use? We currently operate on the Ethereum mainnet and plan to expand to leading EVM Layer 2 chains such as Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon. We will also extend to additional Layer 1 chains like Solana in the future to balance user scope, crypto liquidity, and transaction costs.
What’s the difference between Svim and other DeFi protocols like Aave or Compound? Traditional DeFi platforms like Aave or Compound typically offer borrowing and lending for on-chain native-asset transactions, relying mainly on token collateralization. These platforms provided high returns during the DeFi bull market but now offer limited yields with high volatility or cybersecurity risks. Svim Finance introduces a new class of Web2 real-world assets that are more stable and offer higher yields in the current economic climate. Our tokenized real-world assets offer 5-20% APY, backed by high-quality, overcollateralized assets with a robust legal framework to protect investors.
How much yield can I expect to earn? Investment yield depends on various factors such as asset allocation, entry/exit timing, risk tolerance, and capital utilization efficiency. Svim Finance can offer public credit products like government bills or bonds with a 5% APY return, and private credit or other tokenized assets yielding 8-20% APY. Yield rates may change with the financial market. As a decentralized platform, Svim reduces middlemen and costs, ensuring that most of the yield, after deducting Svim Finance fees, is returned to you as an investor.
What’s the risk associated with the investment?
Investing in Svim carries risks, many of which are related to blockchain in general, including:
Ensuring you use the official Svim website or app to avoid phishing.
Being cautious of anyone claiming to be from Svim Finance contacting you directly.
Verifying any emails for suspicious links to prevent phishing.
Protecting your wallet password and seed phrase to avoid loss of crypto assets.
Reviewing liquidity pool parameters, including interest rates, loan amounts, terms, collateral, and risk management details.
Blockchain operations may have smart contract risks, which Svim Finance mitigates through security audits and bug bounty programs.
Who is eligible to invest on Svim? Our platform is open to global individual and institutional investors who pass Know Your Customer (KYC) or Know Your Business (KYB) requirements and possess stablecoins like $USDC. Residents of certain countries, including the United States, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Russia, Belarus, China, Venezuela, Sudan, Myanmar, North Korea, and Zimbabwe, are currently ineligible.
What cryptocurrencies are accepted to invest? We currently accept $USDC and plan to expand to other stablecoins like $USDT and $DAI. You can convert many crypto assets into $USDC using centralized exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase or DeFi token swap platforms like Uniswap.
Which wallets can I use? We accept MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, and EVM compatible wallets supported by WalletConnect. We plan to support more wallets as the platform grows and expands to other L1 and L2 chains. If you try to use an unsupported wallet, please contact us.
How do I get started? Sign up with an email for future communications and announcements. Asset owners or borrowers can contact our team to discuss tokenization opportunities and liquidity pool setup. Investors or liquidity providers should complete our KYC/KYB requirements and wallet whitelisting before investing $USDC stablecoins. Check our onboarding pages and social media channels for more information.
What’s wallet whitelisting and why is it needed? Wallet whitelisting involves providing a crypto wallet address that we will whitelist in our codebase. This ensures that only your approved wallet can invest and withdraw funds, protecting your account and assets from unauthorized access. Never share your wallet password or seed phrases.
Can I re-invest after earning the yield? Yes, re-investment or compounding is a fundamental financial strategy. After your investment matures, you can withdraw funds to your whitelisted wallet or re-invest the principal and earned yield for additional returns. Use our manual or automated processes to maximize capital efficiency.
What’s the revenue model for Svim? Svim charges a platform servicing fee to cover infrastructure and operating costs, which is minimal compared to traditional banking or brokerage firms. The fee varies based on the underlying asset and our sourcing model. In the future, Svim token holders or DAO members can propose and adjust the fee structure to benefit the protocol, community, and ecosystem.
Is there a token? Yes, there will be a Svim Finance utility token launched when our protocol hits certain milestones and market conditions are favorable. The token allocation and parameters will be fair and transparent.
Is Svim a DAO? Svim is a DeFi protocol that connects Web2 high-quality assets with Web3 crypto liquidity. We aim to decentralize and engage the community in governance through a DAO that we will form in the future. Svim token holders will become DAO members with the ability to propose, vote, manage liquidity pools, set parameters, and discuss treasury management.
